Malwarebytes recently started blocking our Excel add-ins with a false positive regarding “Heap Memory blocks”, according to their support staff.
This is a false positive. However, instead of fixing the issue, Malwarebytes recommends disabling parts of their software, which will resolve the issue. We are not impressed.
Update 2/10/24: We have now worked around Malwarebytes and published updates to our tools with the change. So, if you use Malwarebytes and are seeing issues when Excel tries to load one of our products, installing the latest build of the product will resolve the issue.
